Club updates, and Swordsquatch approaches!

Over the past few years Lonin has grown considerably, so much so that we aren’t as active on this blog as we are elsewhere! Read on for a few updates, and get in touch if you’re interested in training with us.

  • We’ve added practices in multiple areas of study and now host practices 7 days a week! Check out our calendar for details.
  • YES, almost all of our practices (except Sunday longsword and Monday/Wednesday intermediate longsword) accept beginners!¬†We welcome drop-ins. Check the calendar and get in touch if you have questions.
  • Our annual event, Swordsquatch, is in it’s third year and is bigger than ever, featuring instructors from several countries! Many workshops are planned for all experience levels and registration is still open for 1, 2, and 3 day passes!
  • If you’re new to Lonin and have started paying dues, get in touch with us about being added to our private Slack for updates, discussion, and additional opportunities for club events and training.

During the month of August, Lonin members and others from local PNW HEMA clubs will be participating in longsword demonstrations and mini-lessons at the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire as part of Hawkwood’s Troope. Stop by to chat with us, and we’ll see you at Swordsquatch in September!
