Medieval swordplay seminar with Guy Windsor

March 21, 2015 – 1:30-5:30pm at Jefferson Community Center in Seattle, Washington

Maps and directions

Lonin League is proud to sponsor a medieval swordplay seminar with Guy Windsor. Mr. Windsor is the founder of The School of European Swordsmanship in Helsinki; the technical advisor to our Fiore medieval combat group; and a prolific author of several excellent volumes about knightly combat arts including his recent Mastering the Art of Arms, Volume 2: The Medieval Longsword. He will be teaching concepts and drills rooted in the Fior di Battaglia by Fiore di Liberi and selected material from De Arte Gladiatoria Dimicandi by Filippo Vadi.

What to bring

Arrive prepared to train with your blunted longsword simulator; training dagger; mask and gorget; groin or chest protection; and any other protective gear you normally use with your art.

We’ll start promptly at 1:30pm and wrap up at 5:30. You can enter the gym anytime after 1pm. Parking can be tight at Jefferson on the weekends. We encourage carpooling. You can park on the streets north of the park if the front lots are full. Be sure to allow time to park and walk over to the center.

There will be an evening social activity at a local venue to be announced.

If you have not already done so, you will have to sign a Lonin League liability waiver before participating. The seminar fee is $80 payable using the link below. We can take cash at the door but we strongly prefer Paypal.
