New Members

What do I need to get started?

To join Lonin classes, please first read our Code of Conduct. Then, please review the group(s) you would like to join on our Groups page. Please email your proof of vaccination to info@lonin.org and indicate what classes you are interested in and you will be added to the Lonin Slack group.

Are Youth Classes still on going?

Our Youth classes are currently not running. If Youth classes open again, we will update the website with further information.

What should I bring?

For your first practice please bring your proof of vaccination, yourself, athletic clothes and a water bottle. Lonin has some loaner gear available for new members, however you may be asked to observe the class if gear is not available. An athletic cup is highly recommended.

If you already have gear, check out the class page to see what you should bring. As you continue attending practice there will be opportunities to discuss the best order for you get new gear. Check out the Gear Page to see what you will eventually want to pick up.

I love it, now what?

When you’ve decided to stay the next step is to start paying dues.

Once you’re paying dues, talk to your coach and they will get you added to our Slack, where all the internal communication for the club happens.

Then just keep going to practice, check out other classes and keep an eye out for the next seminar weekend. Your monthly dues gives you access to all of Lonin’s weekly classes.

Welcome to Lonin, we’re always excited to welcome new members into our community.

Dues

We are currently transitioning payment methods. To pay dues you can send a Paypal transaction to money@lonin.org

Monthly dues are $48. Any member can participate in all Lonin practices, which are run seven days a week.

Please read: We are a volunteer- and member-supported club. We do not really have the ability to manage on-off dues payments. The recurring Paypal setup allows us to fund our operations without having to monitor everyone. If you are not sure you want to commit to a recurring payment, talk it over with your group training leader and we can figure something out. See below if you need to cancel your recurring payment. Be sure to check in with your group about arrangements.

We offer reduced scale fees to members who a) are committed to show up to practices, and b) are willing to contribute some way other than monetarily. Talk to your coach if this applies to you and we can send you a negotiated payment request. We will never turn away a motivated member.

Lonin League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with Federal Tax ID #81-0707606. Donations are tax deductible

Along with paying membership dues, check to see if your employer provides matching contributions for volunteering at nonprofits like Lonin! Companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google and others have programs where they will make contributions to nonprofits where their employees are volunteering. So, if you volunteer your time to support Lonin, that can have a double benefit for the organization!
